Egersund

At 4pm we set foot on dry land for the first time. A short walking tour of our first stop, Egersund, in the company of local expert Anna.

Anna animatedly chatted her way through several hundred metres of town, and several hundred years of its history. Unfortunately, being Saturday in a traditional town of only 13,000 inhabitants, most places we passed were closed. When we finally reached the only place that had been "kept open just for us" we decided we'd seen enough and headed back to the ship.

I leave you with a selection of pix we took on the outward and return walks. It was dark by the time we reached the Maud, but that only made the scene even more evocative.
