Through The Porthole - Day 3

Up early this morning. The day's activities mandated a prompt start, so it was still dark outside when we walked, bleary-eyed to grab a coffee from the "early riser" breakfast station on Deck 9 (the best coffee), and then joined the rest of the Astronomy group for a 7.30 meal, in time for the early lecture "The Auroras in Fiction."

A light-hearted look at the appearance of auroras in film & TV (Game of Thrones, How to Train Your Dragon, and The Terror, among many others), literature, and - surprisingly - gaming.

We docked in Bergen as the talk was commencing, so on return to our cabin to prepare for today's walk, the view from the porthole was a chunk of the Bergen quayside.
